The Measuring Girls’ Emotion Socialization at Home (Girls MESH) Study is now recruiting 6-12 year old English speaking girls and their parents. This study aims to understand how parents respond to their daughter’s emotions, which may help us better understand what makes some girls resilient and other girls vulnerable to developing problems with anxiety or depression later in life. This is not a treatment study and no specific treatment will be provided. Families will be asked to participate in a 1.5-hour study visit in their own home. The study visit entails two videorecorded discussions, physiological (heart rate) data collection, and completion of questionnaires and an interview. Families will be compensated $50 for their participation. For more information, please contact the Girls MESH study at girlsmeshstudy@gmail.com.
